Dean Sherr
Dean is a political and communications professional with over a decade’s experience in government, politics and community activism.
Most recently, Dean worked as a Media Adviser to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in the first year of the Albanese Government.
Prior to this, he worked in the offices of former Victorian Minister Philip Dalidakis and the Federal Member for Macnamara, Josh Burns; and managed a number of state and federal campaigns for Labor candidates.
An active member of the Jewish community, Dean was elected the Victorian and National President of the Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS), and also served as a director of the AUJS Ltd board. Dean has also served as an elected councillor for the Executive Council of Australian Jewry and an executive member of Zionism Victoria.
Dean has written for a range of national and community publications, including The Australian, Guardian Australia, The Age and the Australian Jewish News.
Dean brings fresh and unique insights from within the corridors of power in Canberra, as well as extensive networks across both federal and state governments and the national media landscape.
